Notes
Historic US newspapers. Since 2025 the collection is reachable only through the loc.gov API; the old Chronicling America API is retired. No key is needed. The Library says limits can drop under heavy traffic and callers may get a 429 or a CAPTCHA page below the stated rate, so pause when either appears. The Library does not own the rights to most items; check copyright before reuse.
