Item metadata is a plain GET to https://archive.org/metadata/{identifier}. Advanced search returns JSON, CSV or XML. The credentials tutorial says many operations need no authentication; downloads of access restricted items need a signed in session, which Lineage never uses. No rate limit is stated on these pages. The terms page renders with script and its text could not be read here.
